A-Frame davit is a module deck mounted davit that comes with a base frame, davit arm, cylinders, winch and hydraulic power pack unit. The system is suitable for launching a fully manned rescue boat against unfavourable conditions of trim up to 10 degrees and a list of up to 20 degrees. Pivoting out the fully manned rescue boat from its stowed position into launch position is carried out by accumulated power obtained from a self-containing hydraulic power pack unit.

This platform davit is designed to the requirements of the MSC.47 (66), MSC.216 (82), MSC.48 (66), MSC.218 (82) and the IMO 1989 MODU and also been approved by major classification societies.

This is davit is a freestanding deck mounted davit consisting of two davit arms, an intermediate frame, a winch and an operating platform. The system is suitable for safe and efficient launching and recovery of a fully manned lifeboat with relevant equipment.

The launching of boat is realized by means of gravity without using any power source from its stowed position to the water level. The launching procedure can be controlled in two ways, either by means of a remote control wire from within the lifeboat or by lifting the brake handle of the winch directly. Recovery of the fully equipped lifeboat inclusive launching crew is realised by means of the electric driven winch.

In case of a power failure or malfunctioning of the electric system, hoisting can also be done manually by using the crank handle of the winch.

This hydraulic davit system is manufactured and tested under the approval of major classification societies in compliance with the requirements of 1983 & 1996 Amendments to SOLAS, 1974.

The davit is a roller track type davit and it lowers the boat onto the water by its weight and the recovery is performed by hydraulic winch (accumulator davit). The boat may be lowered without stopping as turning out and lowering is a continuous movement at a minimum of time-spending. The boat can either be lowered by a remote control or the crew can release and stop the hand brake of the winch from inside of the boat via wire connection to the brake arm and wire spill on the small drum. Alternatively the crew can operate the hand brake on the deck. Lashing arrangement for boat can be released manually by using the slip hooks on fore and after lashing.
